This notice explains how GO CUT Barber Shop uses personal information, mainly the details you send through the Work & Learn form on this website.

Who is responsible for your information

GO CUT Barber Shop, 152 Hyde Park Road, Woodhouse, Leeds LS6 1AG (the barber shop run by Ahmad Tariq) decides how and why your information is used. In data protection terms, GO CUT is the “controller”.

What we collect through the Work & Learn form

• the area of interest you choose (experienced barber, junior barber, or learning with Ahmad);
• your name, email address and UK mobile number;
• your experience level and general availability;
• an optional web address or social handle, if you choose to add one;
• the message you write about yourself.

Please don’t include sensitive information such as date of birth, ID or bank numbers, or health details. The form does not accept CVs or file uploads.

Why we use it

We use these details only to consider and respond to your work or learning enquiry. It is our legitimate interest to consider people who contact us about working or learning with GO CUT, and to take steps you ask us to take. We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them.

Sending the form does not guarantee a job, interview, apprenticeship, placement, course or certificate, and it does not guarantee a reply. Ahmad will get in touch only if a suitable opportunity is available. Any arrangement, including training availability and any applicable terms, is discussed and confirmed separately.

Who receives your information

Form submissions are received by GO CUT (Ahmad) by email and through the website’s form dashboard. The website is hosted, and the form is processed, by Netlify, Inc., which stores submissions on our behalf and may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. We do not share your enquiry with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Appointment requests

The appointment request form does not send your details to our website. It prepares a WhatsApp message to GO CUT’s number, which you then choose to send. Messages you send are handled by WhatsApp under its own terms and privacy policy. We use appointment details only to arrange your appointment.

Cookies, maps and social links

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The map on the page loads from Google only if you choose to load it. Links to Google Maps, Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Security

The website uses HTTPS. Form entries are held in a protected Netlify account and the notification email goes to a private GO CUT mailbox. Access is limited to the people who need it to deal with enquiries. No system is completely secure, so please share only what the form asks for.

How long we keep it

If your Work & Learn enquiry is not taken forward, we keep your details for up to six months, and then delete them by hand from the form dashboard and from our email. We keep them for longer only if you separately agree. Appointment messages are kept only as long as needed to arrange the appointment, and deleted within 90 days of the requested date unless needed for an unresolved query.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your information, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to ask for it in a portable format. You can withdraw your enquiry at any time.

How to ask for access or deletion

Email go.cut66@gmail.com with the name and email address you used on the form, or ask in person at the shop or by phone on 07940 553571. We aim to respond within one month.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
